What feature or improvement do you think would benefit Files?

I can't think of anywhere else in the OS that this is default behaviour, so it's really unintuitive
Often I just want to click it once to view it in a preview pane and not open it completely
Double click, which is heavily built in to muscle memory to open files, causes the file to open twice

Requirements

Will make the recent files pane more intuitive and inline with the rest of the ap and OS
