Looking Back at Older Cards!

Hello!

Once again I have been looking back at cards I have created over the years. I do this when I am not so much in the creative mood to design a card. It provides me with inspiration. I hope it does for you too!

I created these card back in 2020 and donated them to the Cards for Kindness projects sponsored by Scrapbook.com, which is one of many card donation programs.

I guess these pictures are a bit blurry as they were taken six years ago, before I purchased my new phone with a better camera. I hope you can get the idea I created.

Thanks for visiting. Enjoy your creative day!

2024 Card Design Ideas to Spark Your Creativity

Hello fellow crafters!

I thought I would share a few cards I designed in 2024. Perhaps they can give you some ideas for your own card designs!

I used scraps of pastel papers to create the flowers on this encouragement card. I was able to use up the many ‘button’ embellishments and brads I have had in my stash for years for the flower centers!

I’ve had this stamp for a few years and love it. So playful and perfect for little kids!

I cut this seagull from patterned paper and and combined it with an older sentiment. I think the embossed clouds really add to this encouragement card.

Sometimes when I run out of ideas for cards, I look at previous cards I have created to get my mojo back! Why invent the wheel when I have a whole library of cards I have designed over the years!

I hope these give you some inspiration! Thank you for stopping by for a visit!

Little Girl Cards!

Hello!

Today I thought I would share some cards I designed using an older stamp of a little girl. The stamp shows her holding a pinwheel, but I changed it to balloons and a golf flagstick!

I used older patterned paper for the background and the balloon on this cute card. I decided to accent her outfit with purple colored pencils, but her shoes and socks are layered with scraps of patterned paper.

I decided to add some playfulness to this card by having the little girl holding a golf flagstick, or pin. I love the fun sentiment, “Meet ya at the 19th Hole!” Once again, I used colored pencils to color her outfit.

I used this starburst embossed background, tinted in yellow-green to accent the balloon for this card. I also used paper scraps to layer her outfit. A great way to use up my stash of paper scraps.

When I find a certain stamp or theme to design cards, I usually make a few. Every card I create is always different in some way. Whether I just change the placement of the sentiment or the colors of the cards, I find that it helps me be more creative. I feel each card I made should be an original.

I hope these cards inspire you to use different colors, backgrounds and papers to create your cards!

Old Ideas are New Again!

Hello Readers!

I thought I would make a quick post showing cards I have made that used some items that are no longer available. (I think.) I know the patterned papers I used for some of these had been in my stash for many years.

I mainly wanted to post these cards as I have gone back through pictures of all the different cards I have made over the last several years. It has inspired me to start using some of these design ideas again, just updated. I hope some of these designs inspire you to create new cards today!

I hope you enjoyed seeing these older cards. Please let me know if you have any questions on the items that I used to create these fun cards.

Enjoy your creative day and thank you for stopping by my little blog!

Sassy Cat Note Card!

Hello fellow crafters! I thought I would share a fun card I created that used the cute image of a ‘sassy’ cat. It is mounted on a background of leftover strips of textured papers in shades of pinks. I added a sentiment, “Look at You Being Awesome.” It is a perfect card to send to someone that needs a little pick me up. Hopefully it will add a smile to their day! Hope you like it too!

Thanks for visiting my little blog. Enjoy your day!
