A poet laureate is a poet that is officially appointed by a mayor, city council, government, or conferring institution.
The aim of this position is to enhance the presence and appreciation of poetry, literary art, and artistic expression of all kinds in San Bernardino.

YOUTH WRITERS' CAMP
When Thunder Speaks, LLC is actively engaging today’s youth with an aim to increase mental and emotional health outcomes.
We teach social emotional learning practices to help students manage emotions, and improve communication
We help students tell their stories through writing and create their chapbooks as products of
their truth
We lead students through the process of becoming published writers, selling their books, & showcasing their poetry
