Η ‘Πρόσκληση σε Πόκερ’ αποτελεί πρόταση συζήτησης για την κυριαρχία και την κρίση στην πόλη, για τη δεξιοτεχνία και τη στρατηγική στην πολεοδομία και αναπτύσσεται σε δύο διακριτά αλλά συμπληρωματικά μέρη. Ένα τραπέζι για πόκερ με μία σημαδεμένη τράπουλα στην πλάτη της οποίας συντίθεται η αεροφωτογραφία του κέντρου της Αθήνας και κύκλους συζητήσεων στο πλαίσιο στρογγυλής τράπεζας με προσκεκλημένους, που στήνονται ως δυνατότητα ανταλλαγής απόψεων και διατύπωσης δημόσιου λόγου.

Το εγχείρημα εκκινεί από την Athens Biennale 4 και το χώρο του παλιού χρηματιστηρίου για να ακολουθήσουν επαναληπτικές συναντήσεις το επόμενο διάστημα που θα ανακοινώνονται στην ιστοσελίδα που διαβάζετε τώρα. Με την ολοκλήρωση του εγχειρήματος οι απαντήσεις στην ‘πρόσκληση’ θα συγκεντρωθούν συνολικά σε μία έκδοση-ντοκουμέντο πολεοδομικού ενδιαφέροντος.

Η πρόταση είναι σε εξέλιξη και ανοιχτή σε πολύπλευρες προσεγγίσεις.

‘Poker invitation’ is a proposal for a discussion on dominance and crisis in metropolis and virtuosity and strategy in the urban field. The project consists of two separate but complementary parts. A poker table with a marked deck as an aerial photo of Athens city center is applied on the back of the deck and round table discussions with guest speakers from different fields forming a potential exchange of views meeting place.

The project opens in Athens Biennale 4 inside the stock exchange building and further round table discussions are about to be programmed in the short future announced in the present site. As a conclusion of the project all responses to the ‘invitation’ will be gathered in order to form a publication; an urban documentation release.
