re #286: well... it doesn't quite work in the case of more than one added/removed... I guess somehow the child-idxs I am using are not right, or ???, with the end result that the visual tree goes haywire (blank rows, rows not refreshing).

For now, to work-around this and keep the UI sane, if added.length > 1 or removed.length > 1, it will revert to fireTreeNodesChanged
