There are the editor.ru.php and lang.ru.php files in the attachment translated by myself to Russian. I'm going to finish with all others files soon and will drop it here.
Just unzip the file and copy 2 files to languages/ directory of your PGV site.
Thank you. We look forward to the remaining files.
It's a LOT of work to translate the various files. The facts.ru.php file is very important, and should be done first. With luck, it won't need too many corrections.
The files will be copied to the SVN repository when I've checked them.
The files have been posted to SVN 7090.
Hello,
I finished translation of facts.ru.php but have some incomprehension of few items:
$factarray["ENDL"] = "LDS Endowment";
$factarray["SLGC"] = "LDS Child Sealing";
$factarray["SLGS"] = "LDS Spouse Sealing";
$factarray["FAMS:SLGS:DATE"] = "LDS Spouse Sealing Date";
$factarray["FAMS:SLGS:PLAC"] = "LDS Spouse Sealing Place";
$factarray["FAMS:SLGS:TEMP"] = "LDS Spouse Sealing Temple";
$factarray["BASM:PLAC"] = "Bas Mitzvah Place";
$factarray["BASM:DATE"] = "Bas Mitzvah Date";
$factarray["BASM:SOUR"] = "Bas Mitzvah Source";
$factarray["_MDCL"] = "Medical";
$factarray["_MARB_FATH"] = "Marriage Bann of father";
$factarray["_MARB_FAMC"] = "Marriage Bann of parents";
$factarray["_MARB_MOTH"] = "Marriage Bann of mother";
Thank you for this.
Here are some explanations of the terms you question.
1. "Bas Mitzvah": This is also called "Bat Mitzvah" and is a coming of age ceremony for Jewish females, similar to the "Bar Mitzvah" ceremony for Jewish males.
2. "Marriage banns": This is a public announcement, in church, of a person's intent to marry. The priest of the parishes where the bride and groom go to church makes the announcement for the two or three Sundays before the intended wedding, and asks anyone who knows of a reason why the couple should not wed to let him know. If they bride and the groom go to different churches, the priest in each church makes that announcement.
3. "Medical": This is simply information on past illnesses of the person. It's not normally used.
4. "LDS": This is the English abbreviation for "Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints". In other languages, the abbreviation is derived from the translation of the "Latter-Day Saints" part.
5. "LDS Endowment": See this Wikipedia article:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Endowment_%28Latter_Day_Saints%29
Use the Russian equivalent of "Investiture". (The Spanish translated this as "investidura".)
6. "LDS Sealing": See this Wikipedia article:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sealing_%28Mormonism%29
Use the Russian equivalent of "Sealing". (The Germans translated this as "Siegelung".)
