Welcome to the SLiM-fork wiki!

Like the original, this fork of Simple Login Manager (SLiM) is a graphical display manager for the X Window System that can be run independently of any window manager or desktop environment. It aims to be light and completely configurable. It is suitable for machines on which remote X login functionalities are not needed.

This project was forked from SLiM, which was in turn forked from Per Lidén's Login.app program, with contributions from Martin Parm for PAM-related classes.
SLiM-fork is currently developed by Rob Pearce, but most of the code was written by Simone Rota, Johannes Winkelmann, and Nobuhiro Iwamatsu.
