Nigeria is home to over 53 million adult women, with 44% leading as business owners. Yet, 32% depend on family for financial support, and 61% live in rural areas where access to income, knowledge, and tailored financial products remains a challenge.
At The Aziza Development Foundation, we are driven by a mission to transform these realities—empowering Nigerian women through financial literacy, access to capital, and affordable financial services that address their unique needs. Together, we aim to build sustainable futures for women and their families.
At the Aziza Development Foundation, we believe that knowledge is the foundation of independence. This awareness drives our community-based interventions to equip low-income women and girls with the basics of money management.
Financial education sets the stage, but access to capital sets the business pace. Through the field interviews conducted with numerous nano and micro entrepreneurs, traditional banking systems often either under-serve or overlook female nano/micro-entrepreneurs, while modern loan apps charge high interest rates posing limitations or outright blockages to business loan access.
Financial stability doesn't happen in a vacuum. We provide direct support to ensure that life’s hardships don’t derail a woman’s journey toward empowerment.
At TADF, our mission is to empower low-income women and their families economically in a dignified way. We are committed to helping low-income girls, women, and female nano and micro-entrepreneurs in Africa achieve economic prosperity and financial freedom while upholding their social values.
