The Brookland 3
Academically, we ground our school's work in three major
areas which we refer to as the Brookland 3: academic
vocabulary, academic discourse, and evidence-based
writing. We know that students' ability to articulate their
thoughts both verbally and in written form while explicitly
referencing the text or task is the highest demonstration
of their mastery of a particular skill.
