Risqué Sunday. [Double buttpic.]
[Perhaps the angriest butts, tbh.]
Lip service.
A life is a universe, and the cosmos is reflected in a fogged over busstop. Humidity, hardened glass and streetlights.
It really don’t have to be any more complicated.
Navigating the-every-day. [Just keep swimming.]
Shapes of time. [a GAP*]
We talk about progress, advancement, revolutionary technological breakthroughs… We talk about it so much that we forget the foundations that these progression for, some would say transgression against, humanity rely on. The hyper advanced relies 100 % on the crude, on the base, on the same grit, dust, spit and sweat that has driven the economy since industrialization began: natural resources – pil, minerals, wood, rubber, human flesh. This fact make any industrial area, any factory, any clear cut patch of woodland, any graveyard a more “real” depiction of progress than any hi-tech headquarter in any bustling megacity.
We see the apple campus, the iPhone, the Google search bar or the Palantir driven killings from Iran, Palestine, Ukraine and beyond reflected back at in any rainbow shimmering puddle in the concrete at the average gas station or the broken neon sign at a late night dive.
Appreciate the grit. Without it, there would be literally nothing.
*Grit Appreciation Post.
I am sad, and not so little ashamed, to have to inform Tumblr that I was today years old when I realized that you can soft proof your images in Lightroom and that I have saving and exporting my photos in a very weird way. I should have known this, you might say, and I won’t disagree. I blame my complete lack of interest in anything that resembles a tutorial. Hopefully this will make my color grading more up to par. But probably not.
Yay modernity!
[Old pic for reference and testing.]
A Geoffrey Anstey-moment.
[Admittedly one of my more obscure references…]
