 Minutes of Monthly General Meeting of the Wanganui Amateur
Radio Society held on Monday 12th June 2017
  at 1930 hrs at Deer Stalkers and Hunters Hall.

Matters Arising: Mike & Terry to follow up on repeater licence.

Repeater Reports: Terry says he has the 690 controller and has all the documents for 690 and the National System Repeaters, and he is going to try and get them all sorted into some kind of order and into separate folders.
Treasures Report: Westpac Statement to end of May $3119.15
General Business:  


  1. Congratulations must go to Val ZL2FO for her winning of the Thelma Souper cup contest, she also won a hamper, & the WARO Award.
    Ivan ZL2ATU won the lucky spot prise of Electronic Scales and Overseas adaptors, Ivan was also re-elected as the Grand Old Man for OTC (NZ), he also won the James Cook Award.
    Mike ZL1BNB also won a raffle which was a large Quilted Bedspread.
    A good clean sweep for Branch 48.

  2. Terry ZL2EI, Mike ZL1BNB, John ZL2JEL & Marie travelled to Sanson where we met up with Brian ZL2ADL &  Cathy ZL2ADK, we then travelled to the old Avalon TV Studios in Lower Hutt, met up with other members of Branch 20, where the RCC/MOC are now located and had an excellent day where we got to see a live sea rescue for ourselves.

  3. Mike commented on the Remits.

  4. The AREC handheld Radios are being kept at SafeMode, Paul to organise a training day and Stewart Crawford to come along as well.

  5. Ivan would like to personally present to Leo his 50 year award.
   
Meeting closed at 2020 hrs after which all had supper.
