Doing my part by teaching design to underprivileged communities, one step at a time.

Created service blueprints, understood business requirements to create strategic service plans and even created some marketing colaterals. This work is now going side by side along my other ventures starting off a Design Studio (at the time of writing this in Aug, 2024)

Open UX is a non-profit community of Delhi NCR folks built with a focus on connecting and helping design folks. My personal goal is to improve the UX Maturity in Delhi NCR, and Open UX is a way in which I'm working towards this cause along with my fellow founders.

Started a community with Shivangi from Microsoft and Sahej from Clootrack on WhatsApp. Within 3 months, we have grown from 0 to 1k people all from the National Capital Region which includes Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad, Faridabad and Gurugram!

Along the journey, Abhishek from Voxago and IIT, Delhi & Arun from Samsung Research team also joined hands with us to push the community further!!

I personally organize meetups along with other founders and managers! Along with that I also like to organize online meetups with experts to discuss on various topics and then brainstorm some solutions together!! :)

I built a product for the design sector with a couple of my friends. I worked on it for around 5 months.

Having seen things not progress from the business angle, I called it a day towards the end of June. Learned so many things about creating a product from scratch, designing and developing it as a founder.

More than anything else, it helped me enter a different mindset of growth, focus and discipline. Looking forward to taking these learnings of mine to the next season of my life.

Leading the Silicon Valley based company's Product Design team of 6 passionate designers. As the team lead, my day to day routine involves:
- Collaborating with various customers & users across the world to derive meaningful insights for the product & then design experiences.
- Collaborating with external service development team to build our products.
- Designing, implementing, maintaining the first ever version of FlytNow's design system.
- Introduced Objectives and Key Responsibilities (OKRs) to the leadership team.
- Collaborating with internal teams like Business Development, Development (Web & Android), Customer Success, UAV, Robotics, Marketing on a daily basis to build our products.
- Planning the sprint, the process, the deliverables while making sure all deadlines have been achieved in time with the quality of work.
- Defining long term and short term product goals while being an advocate of users as well as the business of the product by applying strategic product thinking.
- Dividing projects for the team & understanding the business needs & development capabilities to return highly impactful and value based design output.
- Figuring out tools to improve efficieny of the team!

Key Responsibility Areas:
- Understanding the product for users, business and creating impact-driven strategies.
- Understand the complex deep tech drone ecosystem how to generate value with partners.
- Interviewing candidates to build a team of enthusiastic designers.
- Continuous improvements in internal agile methodology, communication and collaboration.
- Active involvement in product Web, Android and robotics (linux) development cycles to discuss database structures, entity relationship management, micro-servises, & authorization standards for a better PX.
- Designing product experience of various FlytBase products.
- Understand SaaS metrics to take business and marketing driven decisions.
- Helping 4 interns with their Master's & Bachelor's thesis. Guiding them step by step.

I received the honour of being a Top 1% Mentor in March, 2024 & have a total mentoring time of 3,300+ mins spread over 70+ sessions in 4 countries (IN, US, CA & PH).

I help mentees:
• Navigate careers in design & explore career opportunities in product, UX and UI design
• Develop user-centered product design solutions
• Build a strong foundation in design
• Navigate the product design process, and understand frameworks in depth
• Building their UX/Product design portfolio
• Setup, expand or empower design team at a startup
• Improving UX maturity in the organization

Why do I do this?
Giving back to the community is something that I truly believe in. Right from my mentoring experience at FlytBase, I have been mentoring a lot of juniors, be it from my team or any other. I love to meet new people, understand their experiences and also I like to help them in whatever way possible.

Built FlytNow, a global B2B SaaP web application by FlytBase, dominating the Automated Drone Industry in Security Surveillance, Asset Inspection, Public Safety, Oil and Gas Inspections, Survey Operations, and Drone Delivery Operations - as a Product Designer, designing & developing User Experience and Interface for web & mobile application, across Android and iOS along with Customer Experience, having currently designed more than 200+ features & various complete revamped interfaces of FlytNow as per the use cases of the clients, that are up and running in various parts of the world, providing a profitable UX.

I have mentored 3 design interns over the past year here at FlytBase. 

Led the design team and extensively worked in designing and testing various Design Processes which were Agile, fitting the B2B company's & Internal Design Team's needs.

Drove in-depth into Customer Experience of FlytNow by creating a vigorous process for the team to study Customer Onboarding and providing solutions that can be developed at the current stage of the startup. The process also included cross-(internal)team research to find hidden problems, and then finally executing solutions.

I've been continuously collaborative across different teams be it development, UAV testing, Business Development, Customer Sucess, Robotics and marketing teams as well while also standing by the strong cultural values of FlytBase.

Simultaneously also initiating Primary Research with prospectus as well as clients who have just started using FlytNow keeping global demographics in mind, with the research being focused with sample groups who speak English as their native language. Also defined the structure of usability testing within FlytBase, which is being conducted to iterate and modify UX according to the needs of the users.

Along with that, currently leading UX+CX R&D of various other features for better Drone Fleet Management, along with mentoring juniors in our small but mighty team!

During my time as a Product Design Intern, I was assigned a project to design a Milk Collecting and Testing Mini Truck which would collect milk form women-dairy farmers and give them money according to the quality of the milk provided.
The design process which I followed here was the Double Diamond Design Process. I was assigned a design brief, after which I diverged my research, derived insights from facts, and re-constructed the design brief. After this, I started by ideating accordingly.
During my tenure, the prototyping was about to start, however, because of the spread of the Global Pandemic, my internship ended.

Engaged as a Product Design Intern at Be Cre8v with following assignments at hand:
•	Designing various products by User and Market Research, Research Analysis, Understanding User Psychology, Ideation and Prototyping (R&D using Laser Cutting and 3D Printing) kits and toys for children(6 years to 14 years). Materials on which I worked, varied right from MDF, Cardboard, Paper, to ABS Plastic, Foam, many of which used magnets and Vinyl Stickers.
•	Making Instruction Manuals for Products.
•	Editing video instructions(short and long)
•	Designing Graphics for Product Packaging, Labels etc.

As a student advisor to this team, I provide guidance for design-related issues and also give suggestions about the same. At the current stage in the Preliminary Design Review Round, the team scored a whooping All India (Regional Rank) - 2 and Global Rank - 7.

The American Astronautical Society (AAS) organises an annual design-build-launch CanSat Competition, organised by NASA, Goddard, Seiemens and is sponsored by Lockheed Martin Praxis and US Naval Research Laboratory. This competition gives end-to-end life cycle of a complex engineering project from Conceptual designs through integration and test, actual operation of the system and concluding with post mission summary and de-brief.

This competition is held in Stephenville, Texas( which is the launch location for CanSat). This competition gets students from all around the globe (Universities and Colleges).
