about

a chilling and relentless journey that twists between industrial doom ambient and abstract techno. the music is born from a harrowing experience of a solo ascent through sub-zero temperatures, deep snow, high winds, and a blizzard on remote moorlands - a soundscape exploring themes of isolation, tension, exile, and the relentless pursuit to live.

out of the depths of a wooded valley. a trudge up through fresh knee-deep snow drifts. an ascent to the remote moorland’s summit through high blizzard winds. white mist. paths erased. hands clawed. fading heartbeat. wandering mind. frozen blood. no escape.

"Is it dark ambient with drums? No. Is it techno? No. Is it electronic black metal? Maybe a little bit. Is it industrial? Who knows. But whatever algorhythms is doing here with drumkit, cello, modular synth, and “electro-mechanical devices” is dark as the abyss and consistently gripping. The slow, spacious tracks are properly terrifying, but something very special happens on “violator,” where distorted drums lock into a motorik krautrock-type rhythm; dense grinds and roars pile up around them, and it feels almost like hardcore techno is being reinvented from the ground up in a post apocalyptic wasteland." joe muggs

"wreccage emerges as a shadow-soaked collision of dark ambient drift, illbient abrasion, and downtempo pulse, carved from improvised grit and collapsing rhythms" igloo mag

the tracks on wreccage are improvised compositions using acoustic drums, cello, modular synth, and electro mechanical devices. the elements are linked to form a cohesive, bi-directional electroacoustic instrument, creating a feedback between performer and instrument.
