“Tension” Release

“Tension,” the debut release from Ukrainian producer Oleksandr Liubenko, working under the name baarcks, drags you beneath the threshold — into a state where derealisation and inner collapse take over.
Created during 2023–2024 in wartime Kyiv, the two-track single release unfolds through low-end repetition and sustained pressure, wrapped in industrial grit and dread — sculpted by the weight of old-school breakbeat and its deep presence in Ukraine’s underground scene.
The release explores the uncontrolled regions of the mind — the ones that deceive you, dominate you, and refuse to let go. Its emotional core is shaped by the orca: a being both calculated and brutal, instinctive yet deliberate. This duality—between conscious control and raw instinct—drives the sonic world of Tension. It’s not only a chase, but a trap that feels like it has no way out.
