### Email Actor (SMTP / IMAP)

An Apify Actor built for **MCP server integration**. It lets an AI agent send and fetch emails over standard SMTP and IMAP — no proprietary API required.

### Actions

- **`fetch`** — reads emails from a mailbox via IMAP
- **`send`** — sends an email via SMTP

### Environment variables

## `action` (type: `string`):

Choose 'fetch' to read emails via IMAP, or 'send' to send an email via SMTP.

## `mailbox` (type: `string`):

\[fetch only] Folder to search. Common values: INBOX, Sent, Drafts, Spam.

## `filter` (type: `string`):

\[fetch only] Filter emails. Options: 'all', 'unseen', 'seen', 'from:address@example.com', 'subject:some text', 'exchange:address@example.com' (full conversation — received + sent).

## `sentMailbox` (type: `string`):

\[fetch only, exchange filter] Name of the Sent folder. Common values: 'Sent', 'Sent Items', '\[Gmail]/Sent Mail'.

## `limit` (type: `integer`):

\[fetch only] Maximum number of emails to return per mailbox (most recent first). For exchange filter this applies to each direction separately.

\[send only] Recipient email address, e.g. someone@example.com.

## `subject` (type: `string`):
