### No cookies, no login, no account at risk

This actor never signs in to LinkedIn. There is no cookie field, no `li_at`
value to paste, no session to keep alive, and no account of yours anywhere
in the chain.

That matters because the usual way to scrape LinkedIn jobs is to drive your
own logged-in session. Tools built that way ask for your `li_at` cookie, and
the account carrying that cookie is the one LinkedIn restricts when it
notices. They also break every time LinkedIn changes its markup.

Collection here happens upstream, at the Harvest API. There is no IP of
yours to block, no proxy pool to rent and rotate, and no credential to leak.

buying committee is one hop away. That makes it the highest-signal source

### What actually works here

Most complaints about LinkedIn job scrapers are not about missing features.
They are about the basics quietly failing. Here is where this Actor stands on
each of them.

**You get the number of jobs you asked for.** Set "Maximum number of jobs" to
`0` and you get every job matching your filters, with no hidden ceiling. The
run log tells you how many LinkedIn says match in total, so you can see at a
glance whether you received all of them or only the first batch.

**Location filters cannot be mistyped.** Countries are picked from a list, not
typed as free text, so a misspelling can never silently return the wrong
country or nothing at all. Leave it empty to search worldwide.

**You are told whether the apply link is real.** Around 40% of LinkedIn jobs
expose no employer application URL. Where that happens the Actor falls back to
the LinkedIn job page, and `isExternalApply` tells you which of the two you
got, so a link that goes to LinkedIn is a documented outcome rather than a
surprise.

**Applicant counts say how much to trust them.** LinkedIn shows either a real
number ("47 applicants") or a bucket ("Be among the first 25"), and both arrive
as a plain integer. `applicantCountBucket` says which one you are looking at.
No other scraper in this category exposes this distinction, and treating a
bucket as an exact count is the most common source of wrong applicant data.

**Salary figures are sanity-checked.** European postings write thousands with a
dot, and upstream parsers routinely read `EUR 28.000` as 28. Where the parsed
number contradicts the salary text by orders of magnitude, this Actor re-reads
the text and corrects both the amount and the pay period.

**Duplicate URLs are billed once.** The same job written three different ways
(with a trailing slash, without, or as a search URL) counts as one job.

**No cookies, no login, no session.** You never supply LinkedIn credentials and
nothing is done on behalf of a logged-in account. See the limitations below for

### Paste a LinkedIn search URL

You do not have to rebuild your search in this form. Set the filters up on
LinkedIn itself, copy the URL out of the address bar, and paste it into
**LinkedIn URLs (one per line)**.

The actor reads the query string and fills in the matching inputs for you:
keywords, location, date posted, workplace type, employment type, seniority
level and company IDs.

This is also how you search a **city** rather than a country. The Locations
picker is country-level, but a pasted search URL carries LinkedIn's own
`geoId`, and the actor passes it straight through - so "jobs in Austin"
works even though Austin is not in the picker.

Anything you set explicitly in the form wins over what the URL says, so you
can paste a search and then override a single filter without editing the URL
by hand.

The same field also accepts ordinary job URLs. The actor tells the two apart
and handles each correctly, so you can mix them freely.

Four things in that row came from the actor, not from LinkedIn:
`applicantCountBucket` normalises LinkedIn's "200+" into something you can
sort on, `salary.providedByEmployer` says IBM published that range rather
than LinkedIn estimating it, `atsProvider` names Avature as the system
behind the apply button, and `extractedSkills` is parsed from the
description text.

### What the derived fields actually tell you

Four fields in every row are not copied from LinkedIn. They are worked out
from the posting.

**`ghostJob`** scores how likely a posting is to be something other than a
real, open role: a pipeline advert, a staffing-agency bench listing, a
talent pool, or a posting that has been live far longer than its applicant
count suggests. You get a score, a risk band, and the individual signals
that produced them, so you can disagree with the scoring and set your own
threshold rather than trusting a number.

**`atsProvider`** and **`atsSource`** name the applicant tracking system
behind the apply button - Greenhouse, Lever, Workday, Ashby, Avature and
others - and tell you whether that came from LinkedIn directly or was
detected from the apply URL. Useful if you sell to recruiting teams, and for
spotting when a company changes systems.

**`salary.providedByEmployer`** separates a range the employer actually
published from one LinkedIn estimated. Both arrive in the same `salary`
object and look identical; only this flag tells you which you have. Treat an
estimated range as a hint.

**`extractedSkills`** is a deterministic pass over the description against a
curated skill list, with context rules so that ordinary English does not
register as a product name. It is not a language model guessing, so the same
description always produces the same skills.

fixed later; these are limits of what LinkedIn exposes without a login.

#### Fields that are never populated

#### Fields that are often empty

#### You can turn the company profile off

Company data is on by default and populates on 98 to 99% of jobs. If you want
leaner rows, switch off **"Include the full company profile"** in the input and
`company` comes back `null`.

Everything about the job is identical either way: title, full description,
salary, location, applicant count, seniority, employment type and apply URL all
still come back. Only the 15 company fields are omitted.

Worth doing when you are feeding job listings into your own pipeline and already
hold company records elsewhere.

#### Judgement calls worth knowing about

**Inferred seniority is a guess from the title.** Where LinkedIn provides no
seniority, it is inferred from wording. Inference is ordered by rank, so
"Senior Director" resolves to `Director`, not `Mid-Senior level`. Titles using
"Staff" or "Principal" also resolve to `Director`, which suits management
tracks better than individual-contributor ones.

**An applicant count of exactly 25 or 100 is ambiguous.** Those are the same
numbers LinkedIn uses for its "first 25" and "first 100" buckets. Where no
accompanying text settles it, the Actor reports the bucket, which is the safer
reading but can understate a genuine count.

**Salary correction has a threshold.** The parsed figure is only overridden
when an independent read of the salary text lands at least 100x higher, which
catches a dropped thousands separator. A merely imprecise figure is left alone.

**No cookies means no logged-in data.** Anything LinkedIn shows only to signed-in
users is out of reach by design: skills matching, alumni or connections at the
company, and recruiter contact details. This is the trade for never needing your
credentials and never risking your account.

#### No recruiter or hiring-manager identity

This actor does not return the name, profile URL or email address of the
person who posted a job, and that is deliberate rather than missing. Those
are personal data about an identifiable individual, and returning them would
make every user of this actor a data controller for a dataset they did not
ask to hold.

If your workflow needs the hiring manager, pair this with a LinkedIn people
scraper where you can make that decision knowingly, with your own lawful
basis.

#### Locations are countries, not cities

The Locations picker is a fixed list of 198 countries. You cannot type
"Berlin" or "the Bay Area" into it. This is what stops the most common
failure in LinkedIn job scrapers - a mistyped location that silently returns
the wrong region or nothing at all.

For city-level searches, build the search on LinkedIn and paste the URL, as
described under "Paste a LinkedIn search URL". LinkedIn's own `geoId`
carries the city and the actor passes it through unchanged.

**Do I need a LinkedIn account or cookies?**
No. The actor calls the Harvest LinkedIn jobs API, which handles LinkedIn for
you.

**Is there an official LinkedIn jobs API?**
Not one you can sign up for. LinkedIn's Job Posting API is gated behind its
partner programme - you have to be an approved ATS or job-board vendor - and
it exists so partners can *publish* jobs to LinkedIn, not read them back.
There is no public LinkedIn job search API. This actor is the practical
substitute: the same job data over a normal HTTP call, with no partner
agreement, no OAuth review, and no per-seat licence.

**Why is `mode` the first thing it asks?**
The other fields don't all apply to every mode. Picking the mode first keeps
the form short and obvious.

**How fresh is the data?**
New LinkedIn postings appear in the Harvest index within minutes of being
posted on LinkedIn. The actor reads live each run - there's no cached layer
between you and the latest jobs.

**What's the maximum date range I can look back?**
The `datePosted` filter exposes *Past hour*, *Past 24 hours*, *Past week*, and
*Past month* (plus *Any time*). LinkedIn itself doesn't expose a precise
"more than 30 days ago" filter for active jobs, so *Past month* is the
practical ceiling. For longer historical runs, schedule the actor weekly or
monthly and persist results to a Named Dataset.

**What's the maximum number of results per search?**
The actor lets you set `maxResults` up to 10,000 per run. Practically, a
single keyword + location pair on LinkedIn returns a few hundred to a few
thousand fresh matches. To go bigger, split your search across multiple
keywords or locations and merge the datasets - the actor de-duplicates by
`jobId` within a run, so you can also chain runs into one dataset.

**Salary fill rates - where will I actually see salary data?**

- **United States, California / NY / WA / CO / IL** - very high (40-90%) due
  to pay-transparency laws.
- **United Kingdom, Germany, Netherlands** - moderate (15-35%).
- **Most of EU / LATAM / APAC** - low (under 15%); LinkedIn shows estimates
  more often than employer-provided ranges.
- **Israel** - low to moderate (under 20%).
  The `salary.providedByEmployer` boolean tells you whether the range came from
  the employer or LinkedIn's own estimator.

**How do I avoid duplicates across runs?**
Use a [Named Dataset](https://docs.apify.com/platform/storage/dataset) and
de-duplicate by `jobId` downstream - or filter outputs where `postedAt >
lastRunAt`. Within a single run, the actor already de-duplicates by `jobId`.

**What happens when I hit a rate limit?**
The actor retries `429` and `5xx` responses with exponential backoff (up to
eight attempts, capped at 20 seconds), respecting `Retry-After` when provided.

**Why are some fields `null`?**
LinkedIn doesn't surface every field on every job. Salary, applicant count,
expiry date, and applicant tracking system are commonly missing - the actor
returns `null` rather than fabricating data.

**Can I scrape only specific companies?**
Yes - paste their LinkedIn numeric company IDs in the *Specific companies*
field. Find an ID in the URL `linkedin.com/company/<id>`.

**What does each result cost?**
$4.50 per 1,000 results, so each job is **$0.0045**. Apify platform usage
is included. Jobs that come back empty upstream are not written to the
dataset and are not billed.

**How is pagination handled?**
The actor paginates the search until `maxResults` is reached or pagination
metadata says there are no more pages. An empty page is not treated as the
end - Harvest returns empty bodies under load, so the actor re-requests the
same page with exponential backoff up to seven times before it stops.
Multiple locations are searched sequentially, results merged and
de-duplicated.

**Can I use this with an AI agent, or as an MCP tool?**
Yes. Apify actors are reachable over MCP, so an agent can call this one the
same way it calls any other tool, and what comes back is already structured
JSON - there is no HTML parsing step. The `extractedSkills`, `atsProvider`
and `ghostJob` fields exist for exactly that reason: an agent should not have

No. This needs no code - fill in the form and run it. Most open-source

#### 1. NATURE OF THE SERVICE

##### 1.1 What the Actor Is

The Actor is a software program published on the Apify platform. Each Actor:

(a) Accepts structured input from you on the Apify platform

(c) Receives HTTP responses from that third-party API

(d) A licensed access channel to LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, Reddit, X (Twitter), Meta, Linktree, or any other source platform
(e) Affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or authorized by any source platform

##### 1.3 The Publisher's Limited Role

The Publisher's role is limited to:

(a) Designing and writing the Actor's source code
(b) Publishing the Actor on the Apify Store
(c) Maintaining the Actor (updating it when API providers change schemas)
(d) Providing documentation and customer support via Apify's contact mechanism

The Publisher is a software vendor, similar to a developer who publishes an
app on the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. The Publisher is not a data
provider, data broker, data processor, or data controller for purposes of
GDPR, CCPA, Israel's Privacy Protection Law, or equivalent.

##### 1.4 The Third-Party API Providers' Role

are independent third-party companies. They:

(d) Provide their own Terms of Service governing their operations
(e) Are responsible for compliance obligations relating to the data collection itself

The Publisher is a customer of these providers. The Publisher is not their
agent, partner, or representative.

- Sending unsolicited marketing in violation of CAN-SPAM, CASL, GDPR, PECR, Israeli Anti-Spam Law (סעיף 30א לחוק התקשורת), or equivalent laws

##### 5.1 Acknowledgment

The Actor accesses publicly visible data on third-party platforms ("Source
Platforms") through the Third-Party API Providers (HarvestAPI / Scrape
Creators). Source Platforms include LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, Reddit,

#### 6. DATA PROTECTION - REFLECTING ACTUAL ARCHITECTURE

##### 6.1 Roles Under Privacy Law

For purposes of GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA, Israel's Privacy Protection Law (PPL)

- **You (the User)** are the **Data Controller** of any personal data you obtain through the Actor and subsequently process for your own purposes
- **HarvestAPI and Scrape Creators** are the entities that collect data from source platforms - they bear the responsibilities of data processors or controllers (depending on context) for the collection itself
- **The Publisher** acts solely as a software vendor, not as a data controller or processor, because the Publisher does not store, retain, or substantively process personal data - the Actor merely passes API responses through

##### 6.2 No Data Retention by the Publisher

##### 6.3 Your Obligations as Data Controller

Where your use of the Actor involves processing personal data, you are

Platform's terms. The burden of determining lawfulness for your use case is

##### 10.3 No Endorsement of Source Content

Content returned by the Actor was created by third parties. The Publisher
does not endorse, verify, or take responsibility for it.

##### 11.1 Aggregate Liability Cap

##### 15.6 Survival

Sections 0 (Acceptance), 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, 14, and 15 survive termination.

##### 15.7 Language

English controls. Translations are for convenience only.

##### 15.8 Publisher Identification for Legal Process

The Publisher operates on the Apify platform under the username **UnseenUser**
(<https://apify.com/UnseenUser>). The Publisher is a registered legal entity.
Upon receipt of valid legal process (subpoena, court order, or equivalent)
directed through Apify's official channels, the Publisher's full legal
identity may be disclosed as required by law. This Section ensures that you
have a valid path to legal recourse if needed.

Actor, you accept both the Master ToS and this addendum.

#### A. Architectural Disclosure

This Actor is a software wrapper. It accepts your input parameters, calls the
HarvestAPI `/linkedin/job-search` and `/linkedin/job` endpoints, and returns
the response data to you on the Apify platform. The Publisher does not store,
log, or substantively process the data returned. The data flows from
HarvestAPI through Apify's runtime directly to you.

#### B. Nature of Data Returned

The Actor returns:

- **Job listing data** - predominantly business information about open positions
- **Company information** associated with job postings
- **Limited personal data** - typically including names of recruiters, hiring managers, or contact persons listed publicly on LinkedIn job posts

Where the Actor's output includes individual recruiters or hiring managers,
