Apple News seems completely tone-deaf to what most of the country actually wants for news coverage. The entire news offering is so far left leaning that very few of the articles even seem to make the slightest attempt at recognizing how the nation voted in the last election and what that says of our views on national media outlets. Source after source and article after article are continuing to attack Donald Trump as though he’s the world’s greatest evil, while they prop up the failed regimes of Governor Newsom and Nancy Pelosi and Joe Biden. Even when I try to block channels, like The Guardian and VOX, Apple News continues to show me those articles because they deem them so incredibly important to the national discussion. Meanwhile, I have no access through Apple News to sources like National Review or the Daily Beast or the Daily Wire. Meanwhile, far left leaning sources like Mother Jones are pushed on Apple News news daily, as though that’s what the public must really want. Apple News displays an elitist ignorance and arrogance of where average Americans truly stand on issues in the news. We don’t want CNN, MSNBC, ABC News, and other ardent sycophant apologist for a completely failed Biden-Harris regime. We’re tired of it, but Apple News does not recognize that at all.
The amount of bugs is concerning

The fact taht this is the native news app and had this many problems is very concerning for me. Apple had touted their user experience and software a direct result of that. Over the past 5 years that could not be farther form the truth and now especially Apple News. I found it strange that the news app would ahve such a deal for news+ so I tried and im glad i did because I now know to never use Apple News for a whole host of reason. The first being that the App Store kept telling me that I need to redownload the app despite using it for the past month it still says I need to redownload the app. I can acces from the app and widget but that brings me to another concern of mine. If you would like to access stories from the widgets, it takes you to a screen about 1/10 the size of the entire screen of the iPad. That’s also not to mention the fact that you can’t make this story full screen anyway or anyhow, it’ll only take you to the channel or close the window if he tried to do anything else.. This is incredibly concerning considering my phone has all of my personal data on it and yet I can’t even supply some of the simplest of tasks to me. I have now canceled my subscription to news plus I will never ever use news plus again and also in consideration is whether I will continue to even use my Apple products I have considered switching to Samsung and I think now is the time. Sincerely an incredibly disgruntled and disappointed customer.
Completely useless for the widgets area

Update. I know Apple states you may get blocked topics if they're "editor picks" or whatever they call it. But now if I block an obscure news source, like GPFans, it shows up even more. The same story has been in Top Stories for days from this blocked news source. There's no way GPFans, an auto racing National Enquirer type publication, is an editor pick for the same story three days in a row. Even worse, this review is probably useless. I doubt Apple even reads reviews. OG post.I love Apple and Apple News, but for use in the widgets area or for trying to view anything in Top Stories, it's dang near useless. You can't stop certain stories from appearing in Top Stories, even if they are topics you have blocked, and you can't stop News+ from showing up, even if you don't subscribe. There are five spots in Top Stories, or six if you count the podcast story at the bottom, which I don't use and can't get rid of. Out of these limited spots, two are usually blocked topics (what's the point of giving me that option?) and one or two are News+ so I can't even see them. If I go into the News app, about every third story is News+, or I get whole sections of stories I can't access. It didn't used to be like this, and I don't know what changed but I'm done now. It's finally pushed me to just start using Google news instead.
Clearly biased news app

I have the paid version of apple news. One of the options is to block publishers you don’t like to read and “like” publishers you do. You would think the point of this is to customize your news feed with articles you would be interested in reading. However it does almost the opposite. It seems apple is intent on pushing their stories regardless of my preferences or directly against my blatant request to block specific channels. Why provide the feature if you are simply going to avoid it. As a company that holds itself as the protector of privacy and rights, this is a sad and obvious example that actions speak louder then words. Case in point, to see how ingrained this was to the algorithm that chooses stories on my main board. I blocked the channel “the Washington post” I also disliked every story they posted for the past 2 weeks. I likewise did the opposite for the daily wire. Liking the channel itself and asking for “request more” on every story they published again for two weeks. What was the result? I still get headline new feed stories with “this article you’ve blocked, would you like to ready it” from the Washington post and still nothing from the daily wire. I get it, maybe you have a clear biased against specific news outlets, but don’t hide behind creating hallow user rights and fake choice options for your readers.
