We have been using the app since we had a TomTom device and liked it but discontinued using it because it wasn’t as convenient as just using our phone. We were excited to use your app because of our experience with the TomTom device, but the app isn’t as accurate and sometimes gives false directions that would make the trip much longer. It’s so frustrating we will probably just use our maps app on our iPhone in the future. We also don’t use Google Maps for the same reason.

I like the look of this app, but it lacks a route progression bar and has too many bugs to be really useful. If you go through an area where there is only one bar of cell service the app will constantly recalculate and give you the last directions that had been issued even though you are miles past the point where those directions were correct. When you approach an exit on an interstate highway it will tell you to keep left while showing an arrow for a left turn. It will inform you of an upcoming exit but the distance to the exit will be incorrect. It will also constantly recalculate while you’re on a long stretch of highway with no upcoming exits. It becomes nonstop recalculating without changing the route and putting out the same previous directions.

Quirky navigation, missing details

App tells me to turn within just feet of my turn instead of ahead of the turn and ducks music all the time instead of just during speech. Doesn’t support the new half screen feature of CarPlay. It’s not quite bad but it’s definitely lacking in details like stop lights and stop signs. Also in certain areas the speed limits are extremely off (gave me 20 mph on a 40 mph road). Edits on TomTom’s website for things like speed limits are extremely cumbersome and slow so I can’t fix a whole city of wrong speed limits. 🤷♂️
Great Alternative to the Big Guys

I’ll be honest, I wasn’t expecting this to be a good alternative to either Apple Maps or Google Maps, but this surprised me in a lot of ways. It works seamlessly well with Apple CarPlay, and if you need maps offline, this is great for it. My only gripe with it is it doesn’t work with the tri-split screen (the one where you swipe all the way to the left), which is a view I use fairly often when I don’t need the full map on screen. Perhaps that can come with a future update? Otherwise, an alternative nav app I would recommend.
