It may all start from pieces, but it ends as a perfect whole. I've been following this project since this album but never actually got around to buying them. It takes real talent to make instrumental music communicate emotion but this project has always been capable of making me feel. The blend of progressive metal and post-rock is utterly sublime. Ambient, riffy, bittersweet and beautiful!

This album takes on a more optimistic tone than the debut, something reflected by the album art. It still has elements of melancholy and bittersweetness, but right from the start ("Images"), you hear that this album feels like an answer to the debut's questions: pick up the pieces you started with and write your own story. This is, in my opinion, best represented by the apt-named "Reflection". A step up in many ways!

Sleepmakeswaves is one of the best bands out there that blend ethereal tracks with other tracks with beautiful interlaced guitar playing, as if both players are feeding off of the energy of the other, creating a massive and powerful energy that cannot be stopped! This is one fantastic record, and is easily one you can put the whole album on and love every single song.

Track-for-track, this is Distant Dream's best. Literally every song is 100% memorable. It also doesn't hurt that the album art is some of the coolest I've ever seen (flip it upside down, if you haven't already). This one returns levels of melancholy but with a counterpoint of hope, exemplifying the album title: it's all in how you look at life. All of their albums make me feel, but this one makes me FEEL, more than any other instrumental album I've ever heard. Complete and utter perfection!
