My musical tastes are wide ranging, but they mostly reside within the "heavy" zone. Heavy blues, heavy rock, heavy metal: if it has weight to it, I'll probably like it. Even so-called "soft" music like Nick Drake, Cat Power, Leonard Cohen and Daniel Johnston is heavy to me not because of the style or instrumentation used to create it, but because of its emotional weight.
