SHE CAN’T KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH THIS! Destiny is the last of DJ Sabrina the Teenage DJ’s projects I’ve listened to, and this certain enters my top 3 of her catalogue. I think part of the reason why this and Fantasy are so effective (as well as Enchanted) is because the narrative of these records is so clearly articulated through the use of samples and the soundscapes Sabrina creates. On Destiny, breakups and how orbit around each other is the name of the game here and as always, it’s a dream.
