    This somber track really spoke to me when I stopped to really listen to the lyrics. "Why are you going to go see those that forgot you?" "Why are you going to go leave the ones that love you?" These are powerfully introspective questions. The bass solo done in the style of a guitar solo is also really incredibly done.

    A good cover can feature a new singer. A great cover completely reinvents the song. This is the latter. Ginger Root's Toaster music really shows off how unique his sound font is, and his flirtation with City Pop in this piece is likely what later inspired his current Showa era aesthetic he is using in his modern projects.

    This EP serves as my introduction to this artist, and I've loved it ever since. It's the first to feature his new showa-era aesthetic, which he later doubles down on in Nisemono. Here we also see the beginnings to the worldbuilding that would later make up the "Ginger Root universe." The tracks are also much more energetic than the majority of Rikki, which was his previous album before this.

    This lovely single serves as Ginger Root's "audience interaction" song. During the chorus, the audience will be asked to shout "I!" It's a great track to have in your collection, and has made appearances in concerts even as recently as 2023. I might venture to say it's his best pre-City Slicker track.
