What a fantastic piece of work this is! The concept reminds me somewhat of my encounter with Lis Rhodes’s Light Music in the Tate Tanks a decade ago: 'the image is the score is the sound.' Or even Haswell & Hecker’s applications of Xenakis’s UPIC composition tool. But unlike those, we have a perfect treatment of concrète improvisation, field recordings and dubby chord-scapes, that is emotionally resonant and accessible. Gonna play this one a lot!
