I’m aware people are adamant about future chapters of the game being better, but I still think Deltarune Chapter 1 is Toby’s best overall work to date. Not including how amazing consistent these tracks are, Chapter 1 easily has some of the best character development and subversions Toby has made when actively writing this. While I still think a lot of the elements after this chapter were lost in favor of a grander plot, I still think Chapter 1 is a masterclass modern RPG design.

Deltarune’s best chapter since Chapter 2 (fight me). Probably the most consistent since then, Chapter 5 exceeds at character meaningful character development and (GHASP) AN ACTUALLY GOOD SUPER PAPER MARIO GIMMICK. Jokes Aside, I’m glad Asgore and Ralsei were the main focus of this chapters development. Alongside Toby’s most in-depth demonstrations of gender and sexuality to date, Chapter 5 sets out to finally continue on the thematic depth set in stone from the beginning.

I Can’t Fix You is a diss track towards Scott Cawthon and the ever-growing agony FNAF and his fans have caused him for many years. Commenting on how he can’t “fix things” is ever more evident within his personal letter of self-loathing that is FNAF World, all the way up ‘til admitting he’s nothing more than a conservative grifter who will gladly lend money to terrible Republican “Leaders.” Deep down Scott never knew how to fix himself, so how can he ever fix you? Best Nerdcore song ever btw.

Peakslop in every sense of the word.

Probably one of my favorite TDAC-related fan projects alongside the ever fascinating Duffy’s Digital Circus. Digitized Insanity proves that these characters, world, and themes truly touched an audience enough to induce such underrated content. Again, hats off to Matt for making some truly underrated nerdcore classics on this project!

The fact this madlad made a fansong about something as relatively niche as Twitch Plays Pokemon in the Big ‘26 proves to me this fella is truly passionate about the art of nerdcore. Simultaneously a great standalone piece accentuated by the fact that you can tangentially relate it to a nerdy as thing only few would care about now is ideal for all top tier nerdcore.
My hats off to you Matt, you did a phenomenal job with this and I pray for you success!

So charismatic and indelibly stupid it ropes back around to being brilliant. Far from what I call perfect, Trout Mask Replica ultimately engages in chicanery that is both whimsical and depressing. An album so undeniably it will be forever marked next to Al Green in the Library of Congress.
