I saw S1E1 and man it was awesome! It starts off with a some the intentional cringyness/awkwardness that Vince Gilligan is the master of portraying and very quickly ramps up in a direction I never predicted it would. I am so excited for the E2 tonight!

This show continues to be the best Tv I have seen in years. Hell it might be the best TV I have seen since GOT S3.

Paradise

I saw the finale this week and I do have to tip my hat to the show. It isn’t afraid to take big swings though it doesn’t always pul them off. I like this show, I am going to keep watching it, but I don’t love it.

I made three episodes in before I quit. It was terrible.

You have to factor in what it does for Disney World. For a long time Disney’s challenge with Animal Kingdom is it had no night time attraction. Seeing animals at night is a challenge.

Pandora: The World of Avatar gave Animal Kingdom a hugely popular attraction that you can visit at night. That attraction took Animal Kingdom from the least viewed area of Disney World to the most visited area. It raised the total visiting numbers for the entire park. Disney is not going to ignore that.

It is straight up WWI has met the modern day weapons and capabilities.

Yeah hard pass on Moss and the torture porn that is The Handmaid’s Tale.

Apple TV is really leaning into the SciFi and it is awesome. It is really nice to have a bunch of well funded sci fi shows.

This one didn’t grab me, which is a shame as I really like both of the leads. I am going to give it another try.

• Flow. It is about a cat leading a group of animals to safety during a flood.
• Good Night Oppy. It is the story of the Mars Lunar Landers and the amazing way they were used. It is incredibly inspiring, as is so much that NASA does.
• Marcel the Shell with Shoes On: It is a stop motion movie about a shell and damn it is so good.
• The Florida Project. This is an odd one, but it does have a lot of tackiness too it, but not in an overt way.

Ok, that trailer is a hell of a lot more interesting that the tag line suggests.

Jamie Bell is awesome.

The X-Men franchise has just been a mess but successful enough to keep the funding flowing.

OH man…

It seems that nothing really matter, it just doesn’t matter who is cast, who is behind the camera or how much budget the products have, every Middle Earth product: movie, Tv show, Cartoon since Return of the King has been utter dogshit. Hell even Return of the king stumbled a bit at the end, though with good reason.

Absurdly the best post RoTK Middle Earth product I have experience is the Lego lord of The Rings game.

Most amazingly even Peter Jackson’s return to Middle Earth was a debacle.

The only thing that gives me a ray of hope about this , is that it seems Jackson will have time to work on this. Jackson didn’t have enough time for The Hobbit Movies. Then again the more I ponder that, Jackson’s body of work since LOTR has been comically terrible so I am not sure why him having more time gives me hope.

The first one was so much fun. It is just bananas from start to finish.
