Furatena presents Drift / Remain, a split EP pairing Berlin-based Ukrainian producer Stanislav Tolkachev with Colombian artist Binary Algorithms — two voices sharing a record and little else, each occupying their own half with full autonomy.

Tolkachev opens with "Drift D," a beatless construction of interlocking arpeggios and cascading delays, where randomized modulations accumulate into a system that feels simultaneously chaotic and deliberate — shrill and resonant at its edges, like a machine refusing to be tamed. It establishes the logic of his side: controlled disorder, polyrhythmic layers shifting beneath dense reverb tails. "Drift C" follows with a different kind of discipline — cavernous and relentlessly repetitive, a 140-bpm floorless techno without hi-hats, just a stripped percussive core that locks in and refuses to leave.

Binary Algorithms answers with "Remain B," an ambient piece built from melancholic pads and slow melodic fragments, a modulated acid synth threading through the negative space like a signal searching for something it can no longer locate — punctuated by brief moments of resonant disintegration that flare across the stereo field and vanish, glitchy and oddly beautiful, like static that briefly cries. "Remain A" closes the record on heavier ground — a full rhythmic structure underpins nostalgic pads and a polyrhythmic, acid-adjacent synth, while layers of reprocessed noise accumulate around the pulse, hypnotic and quietly unsettling.

Drift / Remain is a piece full of contrast — two producers working from different emotional coordinates, briefly sharing the same space.
