i don't really have that much time on my hands currently. Working a few jobs where I'm never away from my laptop, or phone, answering emails and responding to clients. It makes finding the time to do normal daily routine items difficult. One of those has been grocery shopping. I'm glad grab added this to part of their offering, as I'd already been using it as a taxi service now and again. And it was when I was on the app to do just that, that I discovered you can order groceries. What's more is that there seems to be promotions and a wide variety of stores to choose from. One of these stores I love but it would take me quite a while to get there and back, time I'd rather spend improving my business, or enjoying a little downtime watching movies. Which I can do now whilst I wait for my shopping to promptly arrive at the door. It's always fast and the items are never damaged, delivery drivers are friendly and I can rate the service I recieve - which is a great system for keeping everthing to a certain standard. It allows me to easy keep my fridge packed with delicious foods and snacks, whereas before, I'd find it empty and have to take the trip to the shop, such an inconvience. I'm going to continue to use the app when I move soon to another city, I'm pleased to see that grab opperates there to. Fantastic.
Automated response bot of a specialist Grab issue solver

I had previously ordered a food item with item ID A-5NHA9RXWWF4Q, from Jibril. Items arrived well and i found out later that i have a missing carbonara and an incorrect item sent, i got a mild spicy chicken thing with rice instead of a butter squid with rice. I sent a report on this to grab and Jasline attended to me. I have attached a picture of a mantou and chili lala dish, with a salted egg squid dish with rice and the wrong item mentioned above. i was not able to include in the carbonara dish since i did not receive it at all. a picture sent by me was with the lids closed but still identifiable. Jasline, being the bot that she was, kept on replying that without any proper justification, she was not able to refund me for the missing and incorrect items, which i find puzzling, despite the picture sent and with descriptions. This kept on going and was bounced off as solved. Then i reached out again and another agent replied, and he/she agreed with me. But due to it being an issue that is few days passed, they could not do anything at all. i understand that but still i wanted compensation tor things that i did not received. That seems only fair right. All i ask was maybe vouchers totalling up to the missing items. But, the issue was still then. bounced off and back to Jasline where an automated response was still sent and refused of anything at all. I work in the service industry and i understand the hardships service workers have to endure. Never will i ever post a false report or anything at all to take advantage of it. therefore, this issue was really mishandled inappropriately and i am not happy at all on this.
Issues with GrabFood Delivery

Recently, my family has been encountering troubles when trying to arrange for food deliveries through the app. Besides the increasing occurrences of missing food and drink, and errors in our special requests, which could be seen as the fault of the restaurants, the main issue is the interface when trying to arrange for the food’s arrival. Usually, to avoid the dinner rush, orders are placed around 430pm. With the timing, delays are acceptable. However, the app will only display the delays as they occur, meaning that the initial estimate of food arriving by 530pm can be pushed to 630pm and beyond. At this point, the app claims that since our orders are in the kitchen (through a digitised system that does not seem to have any other response), the order cannot be cancelled. That can be accepted, since the food is already being prepared. The main issue, is that at some point, it seems at Grab’s convenience, they consider that their drivers are unavailable and cancel the order with no input from our side. Just today, my family was left without an order, in the middle of dinner rush, so we had to resort to instant noodles. That is fine, but if there had been ANY level of communication from Grab at an early point, other proper arrangements could have been made. Instead, we were left with an unfulfilled order, and nothing but an empty, automated apology from Grab. Highly disappointed.

Default prices are exorbitant, sometimes double the price of getting them in person (upfront, not including service or delivery costs). Additional service fees are charged afterwards, delivery vouchers don’t always give full coverage - eg. 3 dollar vouchers don’t always discount 3 dollars from your order because they separate service fees and delivery charges. All this is honestly okay because grab is a for profit business, but if you’re gonna charge so much I’d expect service to be at least decent. In terms of feedback, grab has always responded quickly - for instance when requesting a refund i would always get a response within a day, but when it comes to the actual deliveries, it’s always been subpar. Deliveries sometimes get delayed for over 2 hours, and yet I’d be unable to cancel the order, nor would I get compensation because for some reason, the times and estimates get pushed back, regardless of whether I choose the express or normal option - ironically sometimes going with saver saves me more time than the times when I choose to go with the express mode of delivery. Grab riders also have the option to mark their orders as complete before they arrive, voiding the compensation we would’ve gotten should they have put in their actual times. I honestly don’t expect grab to do anything about this because there’s honestly nothing that can be done about this. For any newcomers reading this, Grab is addictive in the sense that you’re bound to get “addicted” to the app. So it’s a lot better to go out and buy food yourself. Only use grab as a last resort.
