He won the Booker Prize for Amsterdam in 1998.

这本书让我想起了《十一种孤独》，麦克尤恩让我再次产生了理查德·耶茨曾让我感受到的脊背上的寒意。荒诞、暴力、强奸、乱伦……当故事里的人物一步步闯进道德的荒地，读者也被吸进了一个波谲云诡的未知天地。禁忌的世界总是充满诱惑，读书何尝不能是一种满足对于禁忌之好奇的行为呢，不过纸上谈兵终究是相对无害罢了。

一看英国人写的就该知道不简单 像情欲版的恰克 翻译文雅 原文黄暴 再一次感受到原著能让人放慢 沉浸在故事中 而母语的翻译容易让故事溜走
