Keynote Speaker

"Avoiding Problems - Don’t Do Stupid Things" with Joseph Lstiburek, B.A.Sc., PhD., P.Eng., and ASHRAE Fellow

Don’t kill people…don’t make them sick…. Don’t kill the building….don’t make it sick.

If a building lasts a long time and is energy efficient it is “green” and “carbon sequestering”. A “long time” is at least 3 mortgage periods….using “Joe Math” that is around 100 years…so “a century or more”. Note that we have old buildings around in Europe and Asia that are over a 1,000 years old…they just are not all that energy efficient….and when we make them energy efficient they no longer last a long time and we make people sick. We can make it work…we just have to understand the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics….

"Managing Complex Case in CIRS"
for Medical and Healthcare Providers

with Dr. Scott McMahon and Dr. Eric Dorninger

-Dr. McMahon and Dr. Dorninger will spend the day reviewing complex cases in CIRS including how to read GENIE (including nuance and hidden details) and correlate GENIE with building results. Moreover, Dr. McMahon will be deep diving into clinical application and dosing of VIP (including for Multiple Chemical Sensitivity) and pediatric and adult dosing of desmopressin for Step 6: “Correct ADH” including monitoring and safety issues.

Dr. D will review diagnosis and treatments for MCAS and non-mast cell histamine responses (there are over 7 ways to get to histamine concerns) and how histamine compounds CIRS.

We will review the intersection of CIRS and heart disease and ensure your patients don’t “become a statistic” to the number 1 killer of American men and women: heart attack and stroke including a clear method for identifying and treating heart disease and the overlap in CIRS and cardiac care.

Dr. McMahon will address the 3 greatest functional medicine “wild goose chase” scenarios that prevent/distract patients from healing CIRS, while Dr. D will share the  most pragmatic uses of Integrative and functional medicine for healing CIRS

Lastly, Dr. D will review how do diagnose the underlying causes of hair loss including it’s relationship to CIRS

This course is open to everyone and does not require prerequisite.
