With all the crazy ass things that can kill us off, I don’t think we’re alone in the universe, but we may very well be alone in time.

The Fermi Paradox might just the the likelyhood to get wiped out from motions to everything and we’re too far away to get contact in this gnat’s ass of a conscious timeline we’re in.

Yeah, the whole video was a bit strange. Interestingly, telling about the US’s current fabrication capabilities. Just about all manufacturing in the US is now pretty dependent upon China, which in itself isn’t a problem, but for a country where a large chunk of the population thinks they can just homestead without fabrication, it’s a wakeup call.

  • If I obviously orientate my phone towards you or your kids, you’ll be totally cool?

You don’t need to obviously do that, a reasonably wide lens and you “reading social media” would do the same. It happens all the fucking time.

Now assume that a smartpervert glass wearer is doing just that but you don’t know about it.

Assume every time someone has their phone in front of them their camera is on and has at least a 45 degree viewing angle.

I’m saying it’s exactly the same on a phone, don’t delude yourself that it isn’t happening or that it’d be totally obvious

  • Journalism is already dead, we’re just hearing the echoes of it’s past.

Noone has to write the articles anymore

Noone can tell the real from the fake

There are no rules or integrity around the process

Points of view are now owned.

Algorithms will decide what is true and what is false.

The only journalism that exists anymore fits squarely into the 1984 hole.

The Internet Archive needs to be decentralized and taken deep offline with only tunnels back.

Absolutely not. No normal people are buying it. People dedicated to buy in the USA were.

All those components he purchased were at the best possible price they could give him.

We don’t have enough manufacturing capability anymore to have internal competition. We can’t compete against china so we don’t even try.

The owners and stock-holders get the lions share and we’re left paying $2 for a $0.10 bolt.
