Flag Football Newest Sport Sanctioned by WIAA

On Monday, WIAA announced a vote to add Girls Flag Football as a sanctioned sport. The Beavers already have an inclusive, no-cut Flag Football team that just finished its third year of competition.

We're excited to hear what this announcement means for our squad, and for the opportunity to be afforded to other athletes around the state. According to former ABC Community Outreach Chair Beth Sylves, this is the first sport added to the WIAA roster since 1999! Go Flag Football!

Boys Golf Team Heading to State

From Coach Scott Cachopo: "As far as anyone around here can remember, this is the first time a Ballard Boys Golf team has competed in the State Championships! This year they're being held in Spokane at Creek at Qualchan Golf Course, May 20-21. This year’s team is led by Senior Captains Sven Swanson and James Sand with Lucas Williams, Matt Wesche, and Owen Cutting rounding out the team. The entire team has pushed each other over these last four years, and their hard work has truly paid off! We’re all so proud of them and looking forward to all of them doing great at State!"
