Professional Licensing


The Professional Licensing Section licenses/regulates security guard, firearm guard, private investigator, armored car and alarm industries, as well as pawnbrokers, secondhand dealers, scrap metal processors, constables, bail enforcement agents and HR 218/CCDW permits for retired DSP only.

The purpose of this public portal is to receive comments regarding an agency's compliance with CALEA standards, engagement in the service community, delivery of public safety services, and overall candidacy for accredited status. These comments can be in the form of commendations or concerns.
