Living off the grid - homesteading and self-sufficiency

Lived off grid for 10 years in North NSW, Australia. Decided to move after our massvie "Black Summer Bushfires" that were in the middle.of, now in Northern Tasmania baxk on the grid for water and power but live on 2 acres in the edge of a snall rural.village. M and F couple.

Has anyone here ever had success running either of these in a solar-powered off-grid structure?

I'm in northern Spain and the last time it rained properly was November 2022 (we had about 120mm in a day, which did a fair bit of damage). Since then, it's been 8mm at most - which is hardly anything.

Welcome everyone. Are you already homesteading/working on self sufficiency or just interested? I live off grid in Spain on 3 hectares, with a small house and a few animals :)
