Brief:
I develop some software that uses the graphics card in a high performance mode. If Arduino is open, and the graphics card switches performance, Arduino app will crash.
Keep in mind, Arduino will load and run fine in either high or low performance mode. It only crashes when switching modes.

Does not solve the bug, but as a workaround - https://gfx.io will let you force using either the integrated or more powerful. It's a tiny program that sits in the toolbar so you can select if you should switch or use any of the two.
