  1. 'New Branch', with 'Check out after create' selected
  2. 'Checkout' on original branch
    No dialog is presented and the checkout is not done.
    You must checkout another branch first.

I confirm the problem (to my big surprise).

Thank you @davidaue . I have often had the same issue, but I've never really gotten behind the exact moment or scenario when this happens.
