Make sure the TXT record is exactly as GitHub provided (no extra quotes/spaces) and that the host is correct often it should be github-challenge-USERNAME or @ for the root domain. After saving, clear your DNS provider’s cache (if possible) and try re-verifying from GitHub Pages settings. This usually triggers instant verification if DNS checkers already see the record. |

If the TXT record shows up in DNS checkers, a few things to confirm: TXT name and value exactly match what GitHub gave (no typos or extra spaces). No duplicate or conflicting records. Domain uses correct nameservers. Click “Retry verification” in GitHub Pages settings — it doesn’t check constantly. If it’s still stucks, contact GitHub Support with your domain |

It has been more than 20 hours since I set up DNS text records on my domain but domain verification has not happened. If I check any 3rd party DNS checker, the records are showing in it, why is this so?
