when searching with the query ABC sort:updated-desc in Issues I would have expected the Sort by: drop-down to have updated to Recently updated

and I would have expected a Updated X time ago field on all the issues
the same as if I were searching the same query in a repository issues's page

There are query params s for sort and o for I guess order that override the sort: keyword.

• sort:updated is s=updated&o=desc
• sort:updated-asc is s=updated&o=asc

Example links

• sort:updated is s=updated&o=desc
• sort:updated-asc is s=updated&o=asc

Apparently the query parameters to https://github.com/search aren't documented anywhere (anymore?).
The docs just say

You can sort GitHub search results using the Sort menu, or by adding a sort qualifier to your query.

So what's missing there is that using the Sort menu sets the s and o query parameters and they are not in sync with the sort: keyword but override it if present.
