Account with no contributions listed as a Collaborator

Hi!

My second github account is unintentionally listed as a contributor in my repository. I find no trace of contributions made with the wrong credentials in the repo's history. I vaguely remember making commits with the wrong credentials in the past and overwriting the history since, likely with a command like git commit --amend - which is most certainly the source of the problem.

Troubleshooting I have done:

1. Run git log -> Every commit Author and Committer show the same, correct, credentials
2. Log into the other account on github.com -> No contributions to the repository in the Contribution Activity
3. Open the commit history on github.com -> The wrong account appears as an option in the filter User dropdown. Clicking on it yields no results.

No PR's were ever opened for the repository. No commits had co authors.

Troubleshooting with Gemini lead it to the conclusion of "unreachable ghost commits":

(...) this happens when you rewrite history (for example, with git rebase or git commit --amend) and then force-push. The old, incorrect commits are no longer part of your branch's visible history, but they haven't been permanently deleted from the repository's backend storage on GitHub yet. GitHub's contributor calculation often includes these orphaned commits until they are cleaned up.

However, I consider it far more likely that I missed something obvious.
