I cannot export my changes to a branch from codespace

Heyh, I can't export my current codespace changes (the uncommited changes) to my github.. I've an option for that but it's taking a while and stops. I can't access my codespace to export them manually sicne I'm out of the free credits. Is it a known bug?

The export option doesn’t work when your codespace is out of hours because it can’t actually start the virtual machine to grab your files. That’s why it looks like it’s stuck and then just stops — it’s waiting for something that never starts.
Go to your repository’s Codespaces page and check the status of that codespace. If it says “suspended” or “out of included usage,” that’s the reason.
If you only need the files, there’s usually a “Download changes” option in the Codespaces list. That lets you grab a zip of what’s there without having to start the environment. You can then open it locally and push the changes yourself.
If you don’t see that option or it fails, your best move is to contact GitHub Support and give them the name of the codespace. They can sometimes recover a snapshot of your work.
That’s really all you can do once the hours are gone.

I tried before when I was running out of credits, but even then, it was the same. The export changes process took forever, but somehow, when I opened the codespace, a new branch had been created. So, the issue is that exporting changes does create a branch, but it doesn't commit and push the changes to the remote.

and I don't have a "Download changes" option. All i can do is prevent codespace from bring auto deleted after the period of inactivity
