Github Education denied without a reason.

Hi everyone,

I recently enrolled to a University, and now since the First Semester already started I also got my Edu email from my Unviersity. I tried to sign up to Github's Educational Pack by using my Univ's Email given. I've already verified most of the steps required like Student ID and other. Yet its denied with No reason. I tried like 4 times. First because my Billing Information hasnt setup yet, so I fix it up. The Second one is because my last name didnt match according to my Student ID. My name is too long for my Student ID so they shorten it yet in my Billing Information is my Gov Full Name already. So I tried to patch it up. The Third time is because I'm not in Campus area, well its kinda obvious since its currently Night time, Its like around 10 PM UTC/GMT +7. So I tried to give it much reasonable answer by providing my Local Time and my class schedule. But still my request are denied but this time without reason being given. I already refreshed it like many times.

Hi @driannsa,

Make sure to fill in your billing info and GitHub profile with your full name exactly as it appears on your academic transcript. Then log out and log back into GitHub before reapplying, because the application system gets stuck in a loop even after the required information has been updated.

If your academic proof is in your native language, translate it to English and then fill in your billing information and your GitHub profile with your translated full name exactly as it appears on your academic transcript. The automated system is unable to correctly read languages that don't use the Latin alphabet.

If you still get rejected, submit the application using another device, such as a smartphone or another PC.

If none of the above works, I recommend you contact support by opening a ticket here, select "Other" and explain your problem.

Thanks! I’ll update my info to match my transcript and try reapplying as suggested.
