No, there is currently no way to unlock unlimited inline suggestions or bypass the 2,000 completions limit while on the Copilot Free plan. The Copilot Free tier includes a hard cap of 2,000 code completions per month. Because the billing overhaul does not allow for "flex" credits or top-ups on the Free tier, once you consume those 2,000 suggestions, the inline autocomplete will simply stop working until your monthly cycle resets. When you hit your limit for the month, using web-based AI tools (like ChatGPT or Claude) for your heavier problem-solving can help you keep building until your inline IDE suggestions refresh. |

Unfortunately, there's no way to get unlimited inline suggestions while new signups are paused. GitHub Copilot Individual plans have a fixed monthly cap of 2000 inline suggestions. What you can do right now:
· Use Copilot Chat instead of inline suggestions when possible (Chat has separate limits)
Option Works? Notes
· Open source maintainer → Free access When will upgrades reopen? GitHub paused new signups due to high demand. There's no official date, but keep checking: · GitHub's blog Bottom line: No unlimited inline suggestions right now. Stretch your remaining usage or try Codeium (free, works very similarly) until Copilot upgrades reopen. |

Copilot in GitHub

Hello!
I use GitHub Copilot inline suggestions a lot, and I always use them up a week or two into the month. I'd really like to upgrade my plan, but it looks like that's not possible at the time because new sign ups are temporarily paused. Is there any way to get unlimited inline suggestions until upgrades are available?
Thanks,
Unidextrous Prime
