This is a bit difficult to see in the screen shot below, but in Firefox and Safari, I noticed that there is an extra tab stop that I was not expecting.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. In Safari, open the latest/dev version of the docs site: https://pydata-sphinx-theme.readthedocs.io/en/latest/
  2. Open the search overlay (command + k)
  3. Hit the tab key twice

My hunch is that this is somehow related to the work that put the search results to the overlay: #2093
