Background:
Our Walk A Mile In My Shoes (WAMIMS) community project commenced in 2018. We have run various annual events and has raised close to $40,000, which has meant we have donated $2000-2500 to over 15 primary and secondary schools across Victoria to create wellbeing retreats within the schools. Our aim is to contribute to preventative mental health strategies and early intervention initiatives for young people.
Our Goal:
Our goal is to raise $75,000 - 100,000 at this years gala event to support the creation of well-being retreats in 30-40 more primary and secondary schools across Australia. These retreats provide safe spaces for students experiencing anxiety, distress, loneliness, or bullying.
Our Achievements:
Over the past 18 months, TreeHaus and WAMIMS have been recognized with several prestigious awards, including the Hobson’s Bay Business of the Year for Creating Social Change and Diversity (October 2023) and the Victorian Telstra Best of Business Award for Building Communities (September 2024).
