Hi, my name is Grace Habelrih and at the age of 25, I've been faced with the diagnosis of stage 3 Hodgkin lymphoma, a blood cancer. I have been struggling with the symptoms for a few years but had not gotten medical intervention until last year at the end of August 2025. My symptoms had progressed and concerns were raised when my lymph nodes on the left side of my neck began to swell, resulting in a train of swollen lymph nodes down to my armpit, chest, upper abdomen, and lower back. After multiple ultrasounds, scans, and finally a fine needle biopsy, I was diagnosed in January 2026.
Since my diagnosis, I've been on medical leave to begin my cancer-fighting journey with chemotherapy. Medical bills continue to pile up as hospital visits occur and are much more than what I can afford. It has been incredibly difficult for my family and me as medical expenses are piling up, making it hard to cover living expenses too. The toll cancer has taken on my life has been overwhelming. I had to move back into my parents' house and stop working. It has robbed me of my independence for the meantime. I have to undergo chemo for about 6 months bi-weekly.
I am usually not the type of person to ask for help or anything, but I feel that I don't have too many options at this point. I appreciate anything from sharing or spreading the word, etc. I am more than my diagnosis and still love to sing/make music, play video games, exercise, and film content sharing my story and journey to raise awareness. Anything helps. Thank you for taking the time to read this. Finally, F CANCER!!!
