A New Car for Kelly’s New Year

Hi, my name is Keisha Mcglone. This is my mother Kelly. She got her current car back in 2019, it’s been very reliable up until the past year, it started having some issues, slowly we started fixing all the little things and thought everything was fine, until they weren’t, the car starting rapidly declining and making wild noises, it got to the point it didn’t want to run and was super unsafe to drive. Due to that car being our only source of transportation due to her being sole driver of the house. My mother was loving enough to take in me and my two boys and help with any of our needs and I want to do what I can to show and tell her how thankful and grateful I am for everything she does and has ever done for me and my boys. We all always have lots of doctor appointments and my oldest is in school, we have to drive him to and from due to the bus not running for my son’s class. We are having to rely on help from friends and family for the simple things such as help with getting a ride for groceries, going to the doctor, and pick up/drop off for school… it’s always hard to rely on others and it often makes me and my mother feel like burdens so I would like to be able to take some of the weight off of my mother and do this little but so big thing to help her not stress as much. It’s a new year and she deserves a new start.

My mother has always been such an amazing person, she’s always been the first to jump and help anyone she sees, hug you when she sees you crying, laugh at your jokes as she passing by. She has had so many health problems over the years but she’ll never show it, she has always done everything for everyone. My mom raised me and my sister on her own and has always been the soul provider for our family. She’s always got things done herself and on her own without asking for much help. She is the true meaning of a strong & powerful woman in my eyes. I hope one day I can be atleast half as strong as her. Helping my mom get this car would mean the absolute world to her, my boys and myself. Getting her a car would be like getting her back the freedom she deserves and her sense of independence that she has always had and thrived for. I want to see my mom smile more than see her cry and stress. I want to be her backbone and hold her up and not let the weight of the stress bring her down. If anyone would like to donate, it would mean more than everything to get my mom looking forward all the new days to come!
