Hi, I'm Kyran, the Writer/Director of Bad Trip and co-founder of Featherweight Films production company.
Our psychological folk horror short film, BAD TRIP, follows Isaac, a 25-year-old bartender from London, who finds himself escaping to a countryside farm to house-sit for a friend.
What Isaac thought would be a chill weekend away quickly turns to drug-fuelled paranoia after smoking from a mystery stash he'd found tucked away.
Can Isaac keep his sanity, as the sounds of something lurking draw closer? Or will he succumb to the terror that awaits him in the dark?
Bad Trip explores how sense of self collapses when isolation, intoxication and ancient beliefs collide.

Festival Distribution Strategy
We are submitting to some of the UK's most established horror film festivals. FRIGHTFEST, BRITISH HORROR FILM FESTIVAL & GRINDFEST aswell as many others. We are taking a hybrid approach to our festival strategy, submitting to both Horror specialist festivals and a couple of BIFA- and BAFTA-qualifying festivals to bring our Local British Horror story into the mainstream discussion.
Local Storytelling - Regional Filmmaker
Bad Trip is more than a short film — it’s an investment in independent filmmaking within Hertfordshire. By producing the project in this region, we’re actively supporting local talent, emerging crew, and the culture of Hertfordshire’s creative economy.
We are also pursuing support from the Hertfordshire Film Office, which would serve as an additional layer of verification and industry recognition for the project. Their support would further strengthen our mission to champion original, homegrown cinema developed within the county.
Online Release
We want to bring this story to as many people as possible. If you love folk horror and support British Independent Film, then this is a film for you. We are targeting a younger audience that grew up in an increasingly polarized society, aiming to provide catharsis through Isaac's journey.
We’re targeting Shudder and ALTER sales representatives for guidance on how to bring Bad Trip to their audiences. This film is crafted for a wide, diverse community of horror lovers who crave something bold, unsettling, and genuinely original.
After our festival run, we believe Shudder is the ideal home for Bad Trip — a platform perfectly suited to amplify our release and connect the film with fans worldwide.
We can’t wait to see you at our in-person screenings and celebrate this journey together.
Thank you so much for your support.
