I loved the cozy setting at the inn the heroine ran, and the tension that was immediately present between the three characters. Even though this was on the shorter side, there was so much depth and history between the characters and I loved the angst between all of them. And the spice was so good! It was balanced well with the rest of the story and I was rooting for them to have their HEA from the start. And the connection to the other series!?! Obsessed. If you want a spicy and angsty snowed in MMF romance, you need to pick this one up! ...more

First, this takes place in Scotland with a broody, grumpy, and bearded Scottish hero who lives alone on an island with his dog. He's helping renovate the B&B the heroine just bought and she's moved to the area to have her fresh start. He wants nothing to do with her, but they're around each other all the time and being a friends with benefits situation. Of course they catch feelings, but he has so much baggage and doesn't want to become more. BUT THEN she's being threatened, so of course he has to protect her. I loved this one so much! The tension was everythingggg and I loved what we learned about the hero by the end and how much he protected the heroine. The perfect start to a new series!!...more

If you want yearning, look no further. BLiterally obsessed and my new favorite Catherine Cowles book, and I've read EVERY SINGLE thing she's written.
If you want yearning, look no further. Both Kye and Fallon have yearned for YEARSSSS and now they have to have a marriage of convenience!? And it's only one bed!? Screamingggggg. Their tension was everything, and the way they would fiercely defend one another!?! Obsessed. There were so many amazing micro tropes in here that I don't want to spoil, but they were everything. And the found family in here after being with these characters for six books now? Everything.
This couldn't be a more perfect ending to the most perfect series....more

A hate to love billionaire romance!? Yes, please! I loved how this one started out with them hating each other, the hero realizing he was actually wrong about the heroine, so he hires her to decorate his home. And then he just takes her to France to look at a piece she thinks would be perfect for his home!? Swoon. This wast just such a good romance in this series, and I love this cast of character and friends so much! I definitely recommend this entire series if you haven't had the chance to pick it up yet!...more

I love how we get so attached to the main character through a traumatic prologue, and then follow them as they find a passion to cope with what they went through and also fall in love. The suspense in here was SO CREEPY but in a really good way. You pretty much knew the villain from the beginning, but it was so disturbing watching that person mess with the heroine and she didn't even know it was happening. I loved the deep dive into her profession as a firefighter/fire investigator and the romance!? Loved. It was so cute how the hero was obsessed with her from the moment he saw her, but life took its' time before actually letting them be together. The middle was a bit slow, which is why this isn't a full five stars, but I definitely enjoyed this one!!...more

A second chance christmas romance!? This was told in dual timeline, which is my favorite way to read a second chance romance. They had an "almost" romance until the hero left and now the heroine hates him. They're thrown back together for a mutual friend's wedding that they're both a part of. Lots of banter and forced proximity while they are preparing for this wedding, and they're forced to confront what really went wrong. The hero hasn't been back for a while, and there is definitely animosity on the heroine's side towards him, until it slowly fades into them really talking. And tons of small town shenanigans happening too! Loved!!...more

This was so cute! The heroine is in love with her best friend and has told her family she's dating him, and he's supposed to go home with her for Christmas. He gets injured, though, so his hockey player twin brother, who she hates, agrees to go home with her as her fake boyfriend instead. I looovvedd the hero and the amount of pining that happened. It was fun watching him slowly let the heroine realize his feelings for her and the truth about her best friend. I do think the story was missing a few key scenes, including a confrontation with the best friend, but overall this was such a fun one!...more

THE ANGSSTTTT. This is what I've been looking for!! This book takes TWENTY YEARS for our couple to finally have an HEA, and it hurt the entire time to read their story. Both are musicians living in New York and they meet when they're 13 trying out for music school. They become best friends and you watch them fall in love, and then life and everything rips them apart again and again and again. I teared up FOUR TIMES reading this book, and I literally never cry when I'm reading a book. I was so wholly invested in this couple and their journey towards a life together. It was beautiful and heartbreaking and everything.
If you love angst, you HAVE to read this!!!...more

This was such a cute snowed in, second chance romance! And the yearning!?! Loved. The hero and heroine had a fling when they were 19, but the hero left to chase his professional hockey dreams, and they've spent 7 years pining for each other. The heroine is supposed to spend the weekend at her best friend's cabin, but she shows up and her her best friend's brother, who she had that fling with, needs a reprieve after he got let go from his team and shows up there as well. They get snowed in and can't resist each other. She owns a bakery and does some baking while they're snowed in. And it was so cute!! Most of the conflict has to do with her I was so excited for a magical christmas romance, but I was just too frustrated with the heroine in this one. Most of the conflict has to do with her not using her magic wisely and carelessly messing with mind magic (erasing memories) SO MANY TIMES. She would even make herself forget something she just thought about a lot because she didn't want to think about it anymore. So no surprise that magic turned into an even bigger problem for her over and over again in this book. The heroine just made this one hard to like! ...more

This one was good, I just think I was expecting a bit more? I read this trying to find the angstiest romances, and this was angsty, but I had a hard time really rooting for them because it was single POV. Because Caspien was so mean and standoffish to Jude, I had such a hard time connecting with his character or dying for them to find a way to make it work. Also because it seemed like Caspien was the reason they never really got a chance the entire time. I would have felt that angst and desperation and passion so much more if I could be in his head, even for a little bit, during the story.
I also wish the book didn't mostly take place with them as teens and then mostly in college. So much time was spent during those years, and they're literally just kids still trying to figure out life, let alone how to be with the love of their life.
I think my expectations were just a bit too high for this one. ...more

No one writes a forbidden age gap romance like Cleo White! And throw in a King MMC and I am HOOKED. From the beginning, these two had absolutely undeniable chemistry and I was so in love with them. The hero, though, doesn't think he could ever deserve love and happiness, especially with a divorce and running a country that he doesn't want to run. But when the public gets wind that he hooked up with a young actress, they are actually excited and the media wants more. So his team proposes a fake dating situation. Little does he know, she's actually pregnant from their weekend of passion...I loved how the surprise pregnancy was handled in here and I never felt like the hero was settling or only having feelings because she was pregnant. He was a bit of a jerk at first because he never thought it could work between them, but he falls SOOOOOOO HARD by the end of the book and I just loved that so much. This definitely gave Prince & Me vibes and I was so here for it! I definitely recommend picking up this one!! ...more

Barrett shows up injured in his wolf form, and Eryne ends up nursing him back to health before she realizes he's also a man. When he finally shifts to his human form, he and Eryne team up to find out why the wards of the town are weakening, and what the creature was that attacked him. Oh, and only he knows they're fated mates. This was definitely a more cozy paranormal with them investigating and falling in love.
