Goodbye to Guildenberg

On January 31, 2026 Guildenberg will officially close its doors. After nearly 4 years since its start and a year since Tammie and Luke came on board as co-founders, Guildenberg had hit its stride. As we entered into Q4 of 2025, service revenue had grown to a point where we’d begun to invest in product, which is where we planned to shift our efforts in 2026.

Meanwhile Convesio, one of our longest running and most active members, has grown especially fast in 2025. Over the past few years they’ve been making the transition from being a hosting provider to an ecommerce focused product company and with the success of their ConvesioPay product, that transition has been accelerating. In November, we began to explore the idea of Tammie and Jonathan joining Convesio to directly support their growth.

It’s now official. Tammie Lister will be joining Convesio as Chief Product Officer and Jonathan Wold will be joining as Chief Business Development Officer. Luke Carbis will continue on in his role as a full-time contributor to WordPress.

Thank you to all our members, past and present, for being a part of this adventure with us. We’re proud of the way we’ve seen you grow over the years and the small parts we’ve been able to play in connecting you with each other and supporting that growth.

And, most importantly, we’re grateful for the relationships with each of you and we look forward to continuing to work together to grow this Open Web ecosystem we all love.
