In other words, it processes all adjacent vertices of the current vertex before moving on to adjacent vertices of those vertices and so on. Key steps of BFS: Enqueue the initial vertex into a queue. While the queue is not empty, dequeue a vertex from the front of the queue. Visit the current vertex and enqueue all its unvisited adjacent vertices to the back of the queue. Repeat steps 2-3 until the queue is empty. BFS is often used for finding the shortest path in unweighted graphs, checking graph connectivity, level-order traversal in trees, and other applications where it's necessary to process all vertices of a specific level before moving to the next level.
