EU Knowledge Hub - PCVE and Stratcomms

Equipping policymakers with the tools to communicate proactively and offer credible alternative narratives in a complex information environment.

The EU Knowledge Hub Strategic Communications (EUKH Stratcomms) supports Member States in tackling evolving narrative challenges by raising awareness of disinformation, extremist communication strategies, and the channels used to spread them.

Through a range of activities, EUKH Stratcomms aims to equip policymakers and stakeholders to communicate proactively, detect emerging issues early, and understand how extremist actors seek to exploit the information landscape. This includes trainings, expert meetings, tailor-made support services and monitoring and analysis of media for extremist content.

This work is vital as Member States navigate a complex and evolving information space, marked by polarisation, mistrust in governments, conspiracy narratives, and the malicious use of technology. As extremist groups exploit grievances and emotions, particularly among young people and disenfranchised communities to gain support and recruit new followers, it is vital for to occupy this space, fill the communication gaps, and provide credible and trusted alternatives.
